Submit a Review! I just wanted to send this picture that my family took at your restaurant. We had a wonderful time at your restaurant and everyone was so nice. We went to a Greek restaurant here in Houston the other night and my family keep comparing the food to your restaurant. One sister was very upset with the Greek potatoes and wanted to drive 3 hours for your potatoes. We usually try different restaurants when we come up for the bike ride but it looks like we will be coming back to El Greco. Thank you all for making our evening so wonderful. - Kim C. I have been on the hunt for a delicious Greek restaurant in Austin and now I've found the best one. =) - Gena L. I've only come to El Greco a few times so far, but the food has been outstanding. I love the gyros, and I'm so glad you offer the Avegolemono soup! Finally, the service is awesome. When there was an error with our order due to a simple miscommunication at the counter--nobody's fault, really--it was fixed very quickly, and it was obvious that the people running the restaurant really cared about correcting the mistake. I've seen few places in Austin that are so invested in providing high quality service. I'll definitely be coming back, and bringing my friends! - Karen G. Hi, i was at your place yesterday for lunch and had your lamb chops, they very soo very good! the only problem was that they were SO BIG! wow how could anyone possibly even begin to think about eating so much Lamb!!! you might consider making the portions a bit smaller.... cheers! - Nick C. I've eaten almost everything on the menu from the Greek Salad, Gyro, Moussaka, and of course I've had all of the desserts mmm...Yum! I have not found one thing that I haven't enjoyed. You can definitely tell it is homemade. Keep up the good work! Service is great too! Can you think of anything more fun than to try new foods?! We shared our plates with each other this weekend (01-24-2009) for our first trip to try El Greco's, which so much impressed us, that I assure you we will be back! We found ourselves absolutely delighted with the exquisite Greek seasonings in the meat-stuffed zucchini served over rice and smothered in a luscious lemon sauce! The Moussaka was the best preparation of eggplant we've ever had, although being garlic lovers, we both thought that it should have had a noticeable presence of garlic....hint: this is a 'request' here :). El Greco's Greek-seasoned, grilled Pita bread wedges...superb and so fresh! I would also request that more nuts be added to the Baklava to balance the sweetness in this oh so delicate desert. Something else stands-out about our experience: the extraordinary friendliness and personal attention afforded us by owner Jake, his wait staff and even the assistant chefs! Way to go!
